BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Wei Quan (Member, IEEE) received his Ph.D degree in Communication and Information System from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), Beijing, China in 2014. He currently is a Full Professor at School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU). Commencing from Sep. 2017 to Sep. 2018, he is a Visiting Scientist at BBCR Lab, Department of ECE, University of Waterloo, Canada, supervised by Prof. Xuemin (Sherman) Shen.
  His research interests include key technologies for network analytics, transmission and networking protocols, industrial IoT, and vehicular networks. He has published more than 100 papers in prestigious international journals and conferences including IEEE JSAC, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Wireless Communications, IEEE Network, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, IEEE Communications Letters, IFIP Networking, IEEE ICC, IEEE GLOBECOM. He serves as Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, Peer-to-Peer Networking and Applications, IEEE ACCESS (IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Section), IET Networks. He also serves as technical reviewers for many important international journals, including IEEE Wireless Communications, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, IEEE Transactions on Computers and so on. He is also the TPC Member of IEEE GLOBECOM (2018, 2021, 2022, 2023), IEEE ICC (2017, 2018, 2019, 2022), IEEE INFOCOM 2020 New IP, ACM MOBIMEDIA (2015, 2016, 2017) and IEEE CCIS (2015, 2016).

  He is a winner of Excellent Young Scholar of NSFC, a winner of 2022 IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award, a Chief Young Scientist of National Key Research and Development Program of China, and the winners of five Best Paper Awards. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and CIC (China Institute of Communications).
